Seeds of Faith Small Group
Our Seeds of Faith Small Group will not meet this month: we are still on our summer vacation. Our meetings will resume on Sunday 13 September after the 10:30 am service. Please come to the rear of the Parish Hall. Marjorie Lewars will chair this meeting.

I hope that you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. Star and I celebrated with family and friends, and had a wonderful time. The only downside was a sorrowful lack of left-over turkey for sandwiches with dressing, cranberries and mayo…the ultimate post-thanksgiving sandwich.
Advent is here!
Advent has come around again; we have begun a new Church Year, and will be reading from Cycle B in the Revised Common Lectionary. If you follow the Daily Office Lectionary, we are at the beginning of Year 2. The hanging of the greens this year will take place on Saturday December 17, at 10 am. Normally, we wait until the 4th Sunday in Advent, but scheduling difficulties make it necessary to decorate a day early this year. If you’d like to join us for breakfast, come at 9 am. ... more

This December, St Simon’s is getting together with local musicians to support a very important ministry right here in Rockdale County. Mark your calendars for Sunday December 11th, when we will host a bluegrass benefit concert for Project Renewal, Rockdale County’s sanctuary for battered women and men. ...more

Hanging of the Greens
Fish Group returns with our annual celebration at the home of Peter and Debbie Allison at 7pm on Saturday 10 December. There will be a sign-up sheet and directions in the narthex. Don’t forget to let the Allisons know the number of people in your party and which dish you will bring!
We will decorate the church for Christmas on Saturday 17 December, beginning at 10am. There will be a light breakfast. Please come to help make our church look beautiful for the
celebration of Christ’s birth!
