2012 Pledge Cards

Please turn in your 2012 pledge cards to Annette Harmon as soon as you can! Cards are in the narthex or available from the parish office.

Please help us support the Rockdale Food Pantry. Donations of food have been sparse and requests for assistance have increased.  You can place any non-perishable food items in the red wagon in the narthex; however the Pantry is particularly requesting spaghetti, spaghetti sauce; peanut butter; jelly; grits and canned goods for December.

Christmas Flowers & Music

Please help to make our Christmas services extra special with your donations for Flowers and Music. Donation forms will be included in the Sunday bulletins and are also

available from the church office.

Recycle! Recycle!

We have TWO opportunities to recycle and support the church!  (1) Use the “Red & Green Recycling Bin” placed in the parking lot.  We will use it to recycle all paper goods generated in the office and ask you to use it too.  SP Newsprint will send us a check quarterly, based on the weight of the paper in the bin.  They will accept newspaper, magazines, catalogs, office paper, junk mail, file folders, index cards, color copy paper, plain & window envelopes.  Please do not put the following items in the recycle bin: laminated or wax coated paper, paper with glue or crayon on it, cardboard, poster board, construction paper, cereal boxes, brown envelopes or brown paper bags.   (2)  Take those items and anything else recyclable to the recycling center at 5144 Turner Street NE in Covington and let them know that you are recycling for St. Simon’s Episcopal Church.  Each quarter the Keep Covington/Newton Beautiful organization sends us a check for the recyclable items parishioners have taken to the Turner Street facility.  You can find directions and a list of recyclable products in the tract rack.
